Q.

Stuck in Background Check

I had my 485 (EB3-ROW) Interview at NY on March 3, 2009. Adjucated Officer told me everything looks good only my Finger print expired. I gave my finger print 2 days before the Interview. He handed me a letter indicating to wait for 60 days. My priority date (Sep 04) became current couple of times after Interview. Contacted local office after 60 days and they told me they are still processing my case. After patiently waiting for a year recently contacted Congressman and was informed my case is stuck in background check.

1.What are my options?
2.I heard from someone if the case is approvable and stuck in background check more than 180 days USCIS will approve the case. Is it true?
Do you think writing to CIS Ombudsman will help?
Does your law firm can help me to expedite the process?
