Lost signature page on labor certification while filing I-140

I am filing for an employment based green card.(EB-2 Canada, NebSC) In preparing my I-140, the signature page for the labor certification was lost in the mail. I had planned to concurrently process I-140 and I-485 however, I realize now that I am unable to do so since we have asked USCIS to request a duplicate from the DOL. My I-140 was filed last week. In order to save time, my lawyer recommended filing the I-140, waiting for a receipt notice, then filing the I-485. Will my I-485 be immediately rejected? Will both applications be reviewed by the same officer? I don't want to throw away the app fees if it doesn't stand a chance but I do want to save time. Have you encountered any similar cases? Do you recommend even attempting to the file the I-485 before getting the I-140 approval?
