Q.

I-140 and I-485+EAD

Dear Sir,

My company sponsors me for EB3(bachelor degree/associates in US/ 5 years of experience) Green card. I am on my 4th years on H1B

My PERM was filed in July’09. I was told by the lawyer of the company to expect approval some time in May’2010

I have a couple questions regarding the procedure:

1)Can I file I-140 at the same time with I-485?
2)How soon, after the Perm is approved, can I file for EAD for my spouse?

Right now for me the biggest goal is to get Work authorization for my spouse

I review tons of posts and forums and still a little confused. My lawyer tells that it’ll be around 7 years for my spouse to be able to apply for Work Authorization.

Thank you for you help.
