Q.

My PERM application in the Standard Appeals queue.

Hi,

My PERM application(employment based) was applied on May 1, 2008. I recently got this update from my lawyer. "Your PERM case is under the Standard Appeals queue at this point. There was some confusion when the application was first submitted because the USDOL email to the company was never received and therefore not responded to as required. We had to reopen the case and the USDOL considers this to mean that your case moves to the Standard Appeals queue (even though it is not technically an appeal). So, unfortunately, your PERM application is standing in line for initial review."
USDOL is currently processing Aug 2007 for Standard Appeals. Looks like I am in for a long wait. Any suggestions please?

Thanks
