I am Indian citizen, with approved I 140 NIV (filed dated 17th Aug 2007) approval July 2009, at the time had requested AOS. Now I am planning to move to another country (Canada) by Dec 2009. I want to request Consular processing instead of AOS. Based on the above mentioned scenario what would be the appropriate time line to file form I-824, requesting a consular processing? Or are there any other options?
What happens once form I 824 is filed? What happens to dependents do they need to fill any separate form? Or their information is provided once NVC creates a file? Plz. advise
