Hi.

My i140 was denied 4/29/09.In may, i485 was denied because i140 denied.(my wife was also denied for i485) I applied for MTR on 5/29. MTR and i140 approved at the same time on9/9/09.
My question is that i485 was denied because i140 was denied,but i140 has approved now. Is i485 will reopen automatically?
My attorney said I have to submit i485 again.
He said immigration used to be reopen (i485) this kind of case, but system has been changed. Is this true? This sounds so wear for me. Is there way to reopen for i485? If I submit new i485, I have to wait 2 more years?

my category is EB3 nationality is Japan. I submit first i485 on July 23 2007. Priority date is sep 23 2004
