Q.

I have plan for divorce and want to inform USCIS about it

I have applied for employment based green card(PD is 02/26/2004) I485 pending. I married in India 2006 end she came here in May 2007 on H4. I applied her EAD-AP-I485 in 2007 as a derivative and received it. We have a 12 months child now. From 2 years our relationship is not going good. She recently filed PFA and moving out of home. There is no arrest/criminal compliant against me. I didn't admitted allegations, Court asked me to stay away from her and pay child support and spousal support for 1 year. She does not work on EAD but she is educated. I didn't extended my H1 and her H4 and working on EAD.

Once filing for divorce, Do I need to inform it to USCIS? Will it result in terminate wife's I485? or do I need actual divorce decree? Is it mandatory to inform the marital status to USCIS?
