Hello,

I have a 23 year old male friend who will be traveling to London (from Bangladesh) in December 2011 with a student visa. Is it possible to apply for a B2 tourist visa to the United States so that he can come visit me in June 2012?

He is planning on coming to the US straight from London to stay here for one week. He must go back to London to finish up his coursework. Is it a problem if he goes to London in December 2011 and straight away applies for a B2 visa to the US? What are the requirements and what is the probability his application will be accepted? Would there be anything I have to do as a US citizen myself to help him? He has a clean record and is a great student.
