Q.

Got 221 g pink slip

My Mom and Dad went for USA Visitor Visa interview in New Delhi. My mom got the visa but Visa officer gave 221g pink slip to my dad. They kept his passport and told him that they need to do more verification. She told that he will get his passport with approved visa in 15 days. They did not ask for any documents.

Will be got passport in 2-3 weeks?
Is this normal?
