Q.

B1/B2 vistior visa

My uncle came to US in July on a visit visa (b1/b2). His visa expires on Dec 24th 2010. But at the port of entry,the immigration officer stamped his i94 admittance date till Jan 20th 2011. Can he stay in US till his i94 date on Jan 20th or does he have to return when his visa expires?
