Hi there,
Because of unavoidable situation my girl friend and I decided to get married in US. She will be travelling to USA next month on her B1/B2 visa. She was here last year as well.

I am on H1B visa valid until 2012 and also my I485 is filed 4 years back.

My question is

Is it ok if we get married within a week once she reach here or do we have to wait? If yes, how long should we wait before we get married.

Can I apply for change of status right after we get married in US or does she has to go back to India for the same?

I am trying to avoid any issues in the future and be sure what I am doing. Appreciate your answer.
