I have a question about my wife’s H4 application. I’m currently on STEM extension and my H1B has been approved and will kick in from October 1st. My wife is on F2 now so she’s going to file an H4 application.

1. What documents are required to file an H4 application? (My H1 approval notice is currently held by my employer.)

2. To ensure a smooth transition from F2 to H4 without leaving the US for visa stamp, what’s the deadline that my wife should turn her application in?
